أرحنا بها يا بلال

The Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) used to tell Belal Ibn Rabah "أرحنا بها يا بلال". My father always reminds us of that saying, he tells us "أرحنا بها و ليس منها". He means by that don’t make your prayers only a must that you have to do and then go to complete what ever you were doing; feel it, rest your soul with it and wait for it as something you really want to do. It’s not just a must; it’s a soul rest.

ena Asalata tanha 3an el-fa7sha2 wal-munkar wal-baghy
Salat is indeed the most important pilar in Islam after the Shahad. If a persons salat is not accepted nothing of him will be and he is in the hell fire and we seek refuge in Allah from that.

If we truely pray and concentrate in it then this will show in our actions we wont bare with doing any sins we wont backbite we wont swear wont look at harram or listen to harram etc,
If we commit repeated sin then something is wrong with our salat

In The Book of Allah He says wa aqeemo asalat,
he didnt say wa ef3alo asalat or wa saloo
Eqama means that you do it in the best manner possible
and of the signs of true belivers is that they yeqeemona asalat, infact salat is obligatory not only in the physical sense but also in the mind too, and your salat should only be For Allah ie you shouldnt do it to show off or coz everyone in yr family does it etc

its very sad that in kuwait that mosques are so huge and yet empty even though salah is the most important pilar after tawheed/monotheisim

here is an audio lecture about salat it is very touching, a really good heart softener i hope you like it please listen to it brothers and sisters it could really change yr life and i mean it

q8ibloger,
First: you said "If a persons salat is not accepted nothing of him will be and he is in the hell fire and we seek refuge in Allah from that".
How did you know that? And do you mean by that, that every non praying muslim (or even not muslim) will burn in hell!?!?! ummmm... I'm no Shaiekh deen (& I don't wanna be actually) but if i'm not mistaken, NO ONE knows what will happen to each & every person when the qiyama comes! You just can't go on saying he who doesn't pray will burn in hell and be certain about it!!

Second: you also said "its very sad that in kuwait that mosques are so huge and yet empty". I disagree with you here my friend! To me I see that there are SO MANY mosques & they're mostly full... but you know whats the sad part is (in my opinion)... The sad part is what those praying people do when they're not praying! For God's sake man have you ever been to one of the mosques toilets?? Whenever I go there I see water flods all over the floor coz those people who are getting ready to pray wanna be soaking wet when they meet allah!!! haven't they heard Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)when he said "don't waste water, even if you were using a river's water" (that was the general meaning of the hadeeth). And another thing, lets take the ministries complex as another example. How many people working in the Ministries who pray? Ok I know its hard to tell but roughly lets assume it 70%, to 90% (I actually think they're more) but anyway... how much is the attendance/productivity of all those praying people? Well I wont answer this question but if haven't got a clue just go there & try to finish some mo3amala & you'll know what im talking about. Oh & I think you know that in Islam "al3amal 3ibada" & also "al3amal jihad" & in my opinion this is the kind of jihad we lack nowadays.

Praying is something between the man/woman & his God. Pray for ur God the way you were taught to pray & let others do the same as well. If they've chosen not to... again.. this is something between themselves & their God.

q8ibloger, after I posted my comment (above) I went & checked out ur new blog (congratulation btw). Anyway, wish you luck with ur task on advising people to return & abide by the rules of Islam, but let me give you a small advise.. Don't go around telling people pray or you'll burn in HELL!! but instead, tell them the advantages of praying, talk about heaven & how it would be nice to be there, and how easy it is to go there if you follow the simple rules of ur Islam. So basically, im just saying its better to let people practice Islam because they want to, rather than practicing Islam because they were told they'll be fried up in hell. That is my opinion :)

Aquamarine, you're right, you can't know whats inside other people's souls & therefore you can't judge them. As 2pac once said "only God can judge me"!
(hehe just teasing you here q8ibloger ;-P)

WOOOOW, when do you people sleep??

I totally agree with both Aquamarine and Bo ghazi and Bo ghazi's second comment also.

Valiant Contender, You are always welcome : )

Q8i bloger, Welcome to my blog and you are a good person but "شوي شوي على خلق الله"
You are harsh, spread your thought in gentle way to get the hearts of people (This is Islam).
