Random Thoughts

Thought 1: Why do people smoke… they smell awful … they disturb non smokers… its bad for their health… Thought 2: Leaving Kuwait and going back to England … Can’t merge with the society … But long time from England; and afraid that I will not merge with the English society also. Any way my family will refuse. Thought 3: I got my Finance certificate, got a good job, is that all? … No need more. But what’s more? … A small project to start with, maybe. Thought 4: What could a person get from another? … What could a person need from another? I am looking for a person … What person? I have no idea … Why? I have no idea.

Bo rashed,

This totally different then I was in Kuwait and then went to England and came back to Kuwait.

As for thought 4,

Thought 1: I agree, & I hope one day i'll quit

Thought 3: You can't stop learning. Its a continous process & as a finance major myself, i'd recommend you go ahead & try obtaining some finance related certificate (i.e CFA).

Thought 4: I've lost you there :)

Bo ghazi,

Why did you smoke in the first time? (Feel free to ignore)

As for the CFA I started with the Basic book and welling to finish it before March to start with the Level 1 ones. And I am not sure if I could do it before June Exam. I may have the December one.

And as for Thought 4: It is about the relationship between you and others; and those that you don't know but you need them for some reason. Like if you feel lonely, you just need a person.( Got out of words and still don't know how to explain it to you)

I started when I was 18, & it was just something stupid. & please don't you tell me "since you know its stupid, then why not quit!" because its not as easy as it may seems. I stopped for 2.5 & wen't back to it again, so basically all I need is enough will to start quitting one more time, so keep ur fingers crossed :)

Aquamarine, wallah al3atheem I know all about smoking & you wanna know something else.. when i've stopped for 2.5 months (Yes I insist on that 0.5) I was living in paradise !!! I swear that I felt much better (health-wise), & my biological clock was working perfectly. I used to switch my alarm @ 6 A.M & (again i'm not exaggerating) I'd wake up at 5:58 or couple of mins before!!! wallah that during that time I used to smell smokers sitting next to me & I would think "waaaaaaai3!! I used to smell like that!! Its like a walking ash-tray!!!".
bs people we all know how the cigarette is bad n all but its so hard to quit especially in Kuwait! Every where you go you'd see people smoking around you & you'd be tempted!

Aquamarine,

You'r the nice one, not my blog.
You expressed all what I wanted to say in thought4.

Bo ghazi,

You have two new things now to do in your life:

1. Quit smoking.
2. Start posting.

Aquamarine, I stopped smoking when I saw an add in reader's digest about some new type of nicotine sticker & that it helped many ppl stop smoking. So I asked one of my friends to buy those stickers o stopped smoking. Ya3ni I always wanted to stop smoking, & those stickers helped me. I should buy them again I guess. Going back to smoking was plain stupidity! (I don't wanna come up with excuses).

TF. 1. Hopefully
2. Maybe :P

Thought #1 is very sensitive to me, so I will try and be short and sweet..

I am an ex smoker.. yes ladies and gents, I smoked for 11 years.. peer pressure as we are young and the image that cigarettes provide male smokers made me start smoking in the first place.. One thing ladies, you can’t knock it if you never tried it.. I know you say it smells bad, and listing all the problems it causes, and you are absolutely right.. but.. there is always a but.. smoking was one of the best feelings I have ever felt.. and I’m not talking about the side effect, but the actually lighting it up and inhaling it.. it was heaven on earth.. and I never took any of it for granted.. I enjoyed every breath I inhaled.. so probably you have no idea how it feels like to actually smoke if you never tried smoking, but I am sure that Bu Ghazi does big time.. On the other hand, there are things in life we should open our eyes to and see that it is pure wrong. Making a cigarette take charge over my body is very insulting to my intelligence. I’m a stubborn guy.. and just the thought that I am giving in to that habit to take control over me aggravates the hell out of me.. the main reason for me to stop is that I like to be in control of my life in every aspect, whether it’s food, exercise, and smoking.. other reason I hate is that in the west there are many different smoke free campaigns that we lack over here.. people are actually quitting in massive numbers, and tobacco companies are really suffering from that.. so now the whole target of these companies started to change since they know that most people in the west are actually starting to be aware of the problems with smoking.. and plus, making people go through hell so they can smoke in public is a great idea.. I have suffered the standing outside in the rain just to smoke a cigarette.. so I know.. Now the third world country is the target market for the big tobacco companies.. and where is better than good old middle east ? the image of muchoness and masculinity is needed the most in this region.. it breaks my heart when I see 14 year old children smoke in malls.. but who am I to do something about it..

I have been smoke free for 11 months now, I miss it like hell , and I know I’ll keep on missing it like hell for the rest of my life, and that’s because I KNOW HOW IT FEELS when I smoke…

Bu Ghazi, get the patches, use them probably.. it should take you three months to get rid of the habit and decrease the nicotine in your body.. I assure you you’ll keep on missing it, but you won’t feel that you need it.. make up your mind.. who is the weaker and who is the stronger.. you or your habit..

Sorry for the long comment :(

Salute.. !
